WWII Era Miller Dunn Divinhood Style 3 Diving Helmet

Description: This is a rare and historically significant Miller Dunn Divinhood Style 3 diving helmet, produced during World War II by the Miller Dunn Company in Miami, Florida. Known for its robust design and widespread use, the Style 3 Divinhood was a standard shallow water helmet for the US Navy during the war.

Features:

  • Material: Copper body with brass hardware
  • Windows: Large front window and oval top window for enhanced visibility
  • Condition: Excellent for its age, with a beautiful patina on the copper and intact original glass
  • Identification: Clear and legible brass ID plate stating “DIVINHOOD STYLE 3. Navy Standard. Miller-Dunn Co, Miami, FLA.”
  • Additional Details: Original lead weights on the front and back, stamped with the Miller Dunn not included.

Historical Significance: The Miller Dunn Style 3 Divinhood was introduced during WWII and became a staple for military and civilian divers alike. For time sensitive shipments, we will expedite payment processing and shipping for a nominal fee. Items paid for by personal check are subject to a ten (10) business day hold for funds clearance. All domestic mainland items are shipped via FedEx ground , UPS or via USPS unless otherwise specified or requested by the customer. Freight shipments are handled by Newport Pack and Crate. International shipments are shipped via DHL Express or FedEx Express. USPS is no longer used for international shipments due to issues with tracking packages. Insurance: All items are insured for the full purchase amount less carrier shipping charges, or the maximum amount allowed by the carrier and/or country of destination. Insurance is included in the specified shipping amount listed in the shipping section of the final invoice pricing. All invoices are sent with insurance already factored in. In some instances, we reserve the right to only ship certain items if insurance is purchased for the full amount of the item(s) being shipped. International buyers are responsible for all duties and taxes. If shipment is rejected, buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs or disposal fees incurred.
